Hello! I’m Teresa Turk, and I’m running for re-election to continue serving Fayetteville City Council, Ward 4 Position 1. It has been an honor and privilege to represent our community for the past eight years.

I’m a 5th-generation Arkansan, small business owner, retired NOAA Fisheries Scientist, and lifelong advocate for social justice, working families, and the environment. After attending the University of Arkansas and living in Alaska, Seattle, and Washington, DC, I eventually returned home to Fayetteville in 2012. No matter where I lived, I always compared those communities to the beauty, character, and welcoming spirit of Fayetteville—and nothing compared.

Fayetteville has grown tremendously, and growth is inevitable. But I believe it must be thoughtful, responsible, and supported by the infrastructure our community needs. During my time on City Council, I’ve served as Chair of the Water and Sewer Committee, on the Ordinance Review Committee, and as the Council representative on the Active Transportation Committee. I previously served on the Historic District Commission and Civil Rights Commission.

I’m running for re-election to use my experience and passion to help preserve what makes Fayetteville special. I’ll continue working for responsible growth, stronger neighborhoods, sustainable practices, adequate infrastructure, and an inclusive community where everyone has a seat at the table.

I’m proud of my voting record and encourage you to take a look. I approach each issue by studying the data, listening to Fayetteville residents, and considering how we can plan for our future while protecting the quality of life we value today.

Election Day is November 3rd, and I’m asking for your support. Together, we can preserve Fayetteville’s character, strengthen our community, and keep Fayetteville a great place to call home. I hope I can count on your vote.
